My name is Jenn. In December of 2024, I was forced to stop working due to severe multiple daily seizures. I've been going through testing since I've stopped working and go to about 4 appointments a week (sometimes more) to get to the bottom of the cause of my seizures. My neurologist did find an abnormality on my left occipital lobe that is 8x7x9 mm big. There was suspicion this was the cause of my seizures but was quickly ruled out after a grueling week-long stay at University Hospital. We're still searching for answers, but in the meantime, I have started treatment through a specialist clinic also at University Hospital. My treatment is a year-long treatment and none of my doctors are allowing me to work. I have applied for disability and am actively providing my medical documents to hopefully get that into place sooner.

In the meantime, I am struggling to pay my rent, car payment, insurance, basic life necessities, etc. I have sold almost everything I owned of value and I'm still struggling to make ends meet. I have applied for all assistance I qualify for, but I don't qualify for everything I need. Although I have Medicaid, unfortunately, I still have a lot of medical bills that are slowly piling up as well (ambulance rides are not covered by Medicaid ‍♀️ who knew). So, I'm doing the only thing I haven't tried yet and that's asking for help (which my friends and family know is super hard for me to do).
