Support Jenni's Journey to Health

Hi,
My name is Abby and I have a pet cat named Jenni. She is a bit over 1 years old and I adopted her from a rescue back in June. Since I’ve had her, she’s been in and out of the vet with gastrointestinal issues. So far, we have run many tests and tried many treatments to help her with her chronic diarrhea. Here is a timeline:
8/7 - brought her in for diarrhea, which she had been having for awhile, and blood in her stool, which had popped up recently. she had it for every bowel movement. I brought them a stool sample and they did a float test. Found nothing. Also took some blood for a Feline Chem 25 CBC Idexx. Nothing. Put her on a prescription bland diet for a bit. Blood resolved but diarrhea didn’t.
9/17 - brought her in to an emergency vet hospital as she was bleeding from her butt. Ran Idexx Chemistry 10+CBC, nothing. Had a slight fever, was prescribed clavamox. Was given subcutaneous fluids. Again, didn’t improve.
9/20 - brought her in for follow up examination. Performed anal exam. Nothing. Had a fever still. Said it could be anxiety about being at the vet. Took her home and checked temp next day, was just anxiety. But diarrhea still persisted.
10/2 - brought in diarrhea sample for test. Test was Diarrhea RealPCR w/ fecal Dx Prof/feline. Was given special food for her.
10/7 - got call that she had bad Giardia. Likely from when she was a stray, so has had it for awhile. Prescribed panacur for 5 days and metronidazole for 7 days. After that time, no improvement. In fact, her diarrhea got worse.
Note: the whole time I’ve been giving her fortiflora probiotic. Also been disinfecting and cleaning everything
10/14 - prescribed stronger dose of metronidazole and given stronger probiotics (proviable). Vet thinks another issue might be going on at the same time. No improvement. Still continuing with special diet
10/18 - stopped metronidazole, gave her a break for a few days to recover. Still giving proviable and special diet. Started hiding at all times except to go to the bathroom, eat/drink. She’s never done this before and I started to get really concerned. Didn’t improve.
10/24 - blood drawn for GI panel. Starting dewormer and pro pectalin. Continuing proviable and special diet. Awaiting results.

This process has been emotionally and financially draining. I love this cat. I believe we are connected by an invisible string and I would do anything for her. But I am hemorrhaging money and going into debt. If this test doesn’t help, the vet recommends going to a specialist that will likely lead to more complex and expensive tests.
