As a passionate lover of tea, I have long dreamed of embarking on a pilgrimage to China, the birthplace of tea, to deepen my understanding and appreciation of this ancient and revered tradition.

The rich heritage of Chinese tea culture, with its centuries-old practices and profound philosophies, has been a source of great fascination for me. Visiting the tea plantations, meeting the artisans, and witnessing the traditional methods of tea cultivation and preparation firsthand would be an incredibly enriching experience, both personally and professionally as a student and teacher of the Way of Tea.

One aspect of this journey that particularly excites me is the opportunity to explore the Taoist philosophies intertwined with tea culture. Taoism emphasizes living in harmony with the Tao, the fundamental nature of the universe, which brings peace and balance to our lives. The serene ritual of tea preparation and the mindful enjoyment of each cup are deeply rooted in these principles. By immersing myself in the birthplace of tea, I hope to gain a deeper understanding from the indigenous wisdom of the local ethnic groups of Yunnan of how these ancient practices can bring harmony and tranquility to our modern world.

Your generous donations will go directly towards funding my pilgrimage to the tea regions of China to help offset the financial burden on my family which has fallen on difficult times this year with the loss of my husband's job and our primary income.
