On the morning of May 3rd, my mom (Jennifer) returned home from work, ate breakfast, and was engaging in conversation over the phone when a family friend came in and noticed my mom experiencing slurred speech, facial droop, and right-sided hemiparesis (weakness on the entire right side of her body). Jennifer was rushed to the hospital where she was diagnosed with a stroke and immediately given treatment to work her back to baseline. She is currently stable, but still struggling from the same symptoms and on the road to recovery.

This was an incredibly scary event as my brothers and I do not live in town with her and had to drop everything to drive hours to come see her in the hospital, but luckily she had people around to catch it as quickly as possible. At this time, we're asking for financial aid to help cover in-hospital medical bills and future costs concerning rehabilitation and outpatient care. Thank you.
