In 2025, I survived breast cancer. My family and friends thought the hard times were behind me, but on April 5, 2026, I woke up struggling to walk, with tingling in my left arm and a headache on the right side of my head. I had gone to the ER the day before, but they told me nothing was wrong with me. Over the next week, I didn't feel any better. My friends came to visit me and told me my speech changed and they encouraged me to return to the ER. On April 11, 2026, the doctors told me I had suffered a stroke, had six blood clots in my lungs, and a deep vein thrombosis in my left lower leg.
I spent 7 days in the hospital and am now in an intense rehabilitation facility, where I am the youngest patient by at least 20 years. With the help of physical, occupational, and speech therapy, I have regained some movement in my left arm and face, but my recovery will be a long and slow journey. The emotional and financial toll of these back-to-back health crises has been overwhelming for me and my family. I am hopeful I will overcome this in time.
I am unable to work or make my handmade body butters and sprays, so I am trying to raise funds to help cover my medical bills, living expenses, and ongoing rehabilitation. Any support for my recovery would mean the world to us and help me focus on healing. Thank you for considering a donation or sharing my story to help me on my difficult road to recovery.
