Her Journey: Roseline’s Fight Against Lupus
Roseline is a vibrant, loving, and resilient 42-year-old woman whose life took an unexpected turn in April 2014 when she was diagnosed with lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease. For over eight years, lupus has relentlessly attacked her body — and today, her kidneys are in serious danger (Kidney failure -end stage) and has been forced to be undergoing dialysis procedures two times a week for a couple of years now.
As her health declined, Roseline was forced to leave her job and return to rural Kenya, where she now lives with her retired parents. Despite the daily struggles, she remains devoted to caring for her 4-year-old son, drawing strength from motherhood and her unyielding spirit.
Roseline’s journey is a powerful reminder of the silent battles many face — and the urgent need for support, awareness, and access to proper medical care.
A Fighter Against All Odds
Over the years, Roseline has endured countless hospitalizations, many of which were critical and life-threatening. Time and again, she has fought her way back — not just for herself, but for her son, her family, and those who love her.
But this time, she needs a kidney transplant — urgently.
Why We’re Asking for Your Help
The doctors have now confirmed that a transplant is her best and only long-term option. The cost of the transplant surgery, pre- and post-operative care, and related medical expenses is estimated at $20,000 (approx. KES 3 million) — a figure that is simply beyond our family’s means.
We are doing everything possible, pooling our resources as a family and community, but we urgently need your help to meet this goal in the next three months so that Roseline can begin the process before her condition worsens.
How You Can Help
Every contribution, big or small, will go directly to:
• The kidney transplant surgery
• Pre-surgery evaluations and hospitalizations
• Post-surgery recovery and medication
• Care for her young son during her recovery
