Jennifer, one of my closest friends, is facing a second battle with breast tumors and cancer in just one year.

If you know her, you also know that she’s crafted a career in service of others: working in healthcare and research, and volunteering in a variety of social services from providing access to reproductive healthcare to supporting people in the addiction and recovery community. She listens without judgment and shows compassion in every interaction.

Now, she needs our help.

This next round means another surgery, intensive radiation, and genetic testing. Even with health insurance, the bills can be overwhelming — travel for treatment, unpaid time off work, follow-up appointments, and ongoing screenings. She’s still working full-time and teaching at IU, but the financial strain will be considerable.

Jennifer would help any one of us without hesitation, so I'm asking our community of friends to move in now and support her.
