My mother-in-law is a dedicated part-time nurse who gives everything to her patients and never receives paid time off or benefits. In October she was hospitalized for a week after developing a severe infection that nearly turned septic. Now, after further evaluation, she faces two major surgeries: a total hysterectomy and a sigmoid colectomy. Her surgery is scheduled for April 14th.
Her recovery will keep her out of work for 8–10 weeks. For an independent woman who has always been the one helping others, asking for support does not come easily. She has selflessly cared for her patients, stepped up for family and friends in need, and poured her heart into being an active Nonna. This surgery will temporarily take away the joy she finds in spending time with her grandkids and living her active lifestyle.
Beyond the physical challenges, she is carrying the very real fears of complications, the stress of the unknown, and the heavy financial burden of losing her entire income during recovery. Any donation will directly help cover bills, groceries, and daily needs so she can focus on healing instead of worrying about money.
If you’re able, please donate whatever you can—no amount is too small. If you can’t donate right now, a prayer for her safe recovery and a share to spread the word would mean the world. Your kindness will lift a huge weight off her shoulders and let her know she is not alone.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any love and support you can give during this difficult time.
