On March 18th, my life changed in an instant when I was involved in a hit and run accident late at night. I was dragged about 50 feet and partially run over, resulting in a broken humerus, two fractures to my pelvis, a broken tailbone, and potentially more injuries to my hand, wrist, and hip. All of these injuries are on my right side, which is my dominant side, making daily life even more challenging. I spent 10 days at Banner Baywood hospital and have since been transferred to Springdale Post Acute Nursing Facility, where I am beginning intensive physical therapy 3-5 times a week. The road to recovery is long—doctors estimate it could take months to a year before I can stand and walk properly again.

Because of these injuries, I am unable to work and provide for myself and my dog. I also need to cover the cost of boarding my dog while I am in assisted living.
