Help Support Jennifer Smith After a Serious Bicycle Collision
My name is Reginald Webb, and I am organizing this fundraiser for my dear friend Jennifer Smith.
On July 2, Jennifer was seriously injured in a bicycle collision in Palo Alto.
Jennifer and I had spent the day together. We were riding back home from the train station, looking forward to a family celebration.
The everything changed in an instant.
I was riding behind Jennifer when the collision happened. From where I was, the bus turned right in front of us, and Jennifer was struck. I yelled, but there was nothing I could do fast enough to stop what happened. I ran after the bus, banging on the side while others honked their horns, trying to get it to stop.
I will never forget seeing Jennifer hurt like that. I held her while we waited for help to arrive, feeling terrified and helpless. That image is something I cannot get out of my mind.
Jennifer is now receiving medical care and facing a very long road ahead. She is stable, but her recovery will take time, strength, support, and ongoing treatment. There are still concerns about complications, additional care, rehabilitation, and the emotional trauma of what she has been through.
I am devastated, but I am also determined to do whatever I can to help her through this.
Jennifer needs support for medical expenses, rehabilitation, transportation, lost income, and the everyday costs that come with a sudden traumatic injury. Recovery from something like this is not just physical. It is emotional, financial, and life-changing.
I am asking our community, friends, family, and anyone moved by Jennifer’s story to please help ease this burden.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will help Jennifer focus on healing instead of worrying about mounting expenses. If you cannot donate, please share this fundraiser. Your prayers, kind words, support, and shares mean more than you know.
Jennifer has a long fight ahead of her, but she does not have to face it alone.
With gratitude,
Reginald Webb
