Support Jennifer's Journey to Health and Stability

Hi everyone my name is Jennifer and I have been struggling with undiagnosed health issues since August of 2024. Prior to this, I was a hardworking single mom. It has always been my priority to provide and maintain a healthy and stable life for my daughter and myself. I’d like to think of myself as always being a strong and resilient woman.

At the end of August, I found myself in the ER where it was found I had colitis, esophagitis, and diverticulosis by CT scan. Would follow up with primary who was very difficult in giving a GI referral. I was feeling so weak, having some abdominal discomfort. He diagnosed me with iron deficiency anemia. After a few months of continuing to feel weaker by the day where I could no longer work and struggle to even get around. I decided to seek out another PCP. After several visits and labs, she confirmed the iron deficiency anemia without treatment, systemic inflammation, other deficiencies. Still no other actual diagnosis’s or treatments. It seems to be a common issue with middle aged women not being heard and being gaslit with anxiety despite multiple abnormal labs and imaging. In the recent weeks, I have been blessed to find a provider who is addressing these abnormalities and my worsening symptoms. I have upcoming appointments with specialists starting with GI and further tests. This has been a very hard road to navigate physically, emotionally, mentally and financially. While I am thankful for hopefully getting some answers and treatment, I am unsure how I can financially maintain medical costs and costs of maintaining our basic cost of living. I’m humbly asking for any financial help I can receive.

While by far I’m not a perfect person, parent or Christian, I’d like to believe by example I have shown my daughter what it looks like to be there for others, make good choices, be independent, and be strong in her faith. I feel extreme guilt for not being able to be the mom for almost this last year that she deserves and needs. I have tried to stay strong, positive and fight to get answers and feeling better. Please keep me in your prayers and thoughts as I continue to try and push through this tough time.
