Support Jennifer's Journey Through Loss

Hi,

I am Meranda Broder, a long-time friend of Jennifer Gibbons. I have known Jennifer since we met playing tether ball in 5th grade. She’s one of the kindest, sweetest souls you’ll ever meet, and she is in trouble at the moment.

She has been taking care of her mom for the last five years, since she broke her hip. Her mom has declined rapidly the last few weeks and is near the end. Jennifer is beginning to feel very scared, not just at the thought of losing her beloved mother, but also she’s worried about her own future; after giving up several years of her life to her mom’s care, she has not been able to build any security for herself. She has also not been able to find remote work in an economically depressed Fresno, where she lives.

Her plan, after her mom passes, is to move back to the Bay Area where she has friends and family to support her and where there are more job possibilities. Until then, she needs help desperately. She has no savings and no income at the moment and needs the money to pay for a cremation for her mom and the travel costs of moving.

This is where you come in. If you could spare even a few dollars towards the fund to help Jennifer take care of her mom’s memorial costs and to get back on her feet, it would be most appreciated.

Jennifer would be the first person to donate to others’ Go Fund Me’s, even though she has never been super flush herself. She’s a generous, beautiful person who genuinely needs our help.
