HI! I'm Diane Griffin who is a good friend of Kathy Simoes and her daughter Jennifer O'Connor..Jennifer has been dealing with Malignant Melanoma for a few years now. It started as a lesion on her back and it has metastasized to her lung and she had surgery to remove part of her lung and she has had chemo and or radiation in various other areas along with other surgeries and now her biggest challenge has been a brain tumor which has been removed and left her right side without feeling. She has been in the hospital the last two weeks and will be moved to an intensive physical therapy rehab this week. She will also need additional radiation when the physical therapy is over. Jennifer has a long road ahead of her. I admire her strength and perseverance..She is a real warrior..This has put an enormous burden on her and her family. Jennifer has been caring for her daughter Ashlynn, who is a high school senior and trying to get ready for college.

She has been silently doing all of this to the best of her ability, but I think its time for all of us to pitch in and help her. I thought that especially at this season of giving, that this would be the right time to do this. All funds will go directly to Kathy who is helping oversee things for Jennifer while she is recovering.
