SUPPORT JENNIFER'S FIGHT OF BREAST CANCER&FINANCIAL HARDSHIP

Hi everyone, this is Julie VanderMeer (Jen's sister) and Rhonda Goodwin (Jen's best friend). We are reaching out to all of our friends and family to help Jennifer at a very crucial time in her life. Jennifer was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer on March 20, 2024. On May 24, 2024, she underwent a double mastectomy and had 6 lymph nodes removed. On July 3, she had her chemo port in and on July 11, 2024, she started her first round of 24 weeks of chemotherapy. She has to do the most aggressive type of chemo because she has the most aggressive type of breast cancer. Plus, she will need a final surgery when chemo is done, which won't happen until next year, 2025.

After her first round of chemo on July 23, 2024, she got a horrible infection and underwent another surgery which left her in the hospital for days, and chemo had to be put on hold. She was able to begin chemo again on August 8, 2024. Then, the icing on the cake, her employer of 18 years let her go on August 7, 2024, because of having breast cancer, and she also lost her health insurance.

Anyone who knows Jennifer knows that she has a heart of gold and is there for everyone when they need her. She always puts everyone above herself and now we're asking our friends and family if they can help her in her time of need. Jennifer is only 52, she is a mom, aunt, sister, daughter, and best friend. Jen lives on her own and supports herself 100%. She has medical bills rolling in plus the everyday stress of wondering how is she going to keep a roof over her head, lights on, and food on her table. Anyone in this situation should not have to worry about these things, they should only have to worry about getting better. The money we raise is going to help with medical bills, and keeping a roof over her head so she can heal in peace instead of trying to figure out where is she going to live and have to pack a house up.
