Hello,

My name is Aimee and I want to share some background information about my sister, Jennifer. She is a divorced single mom with 2 young adult children currently living at home. She has worked and put herself through school. She's 1 credit short of getting her degree in legal studies. Her son is special needs and her daughter has had her work hours cut back to almost nothing.

Shortly after her 2nd birthday, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia or ALL. She was in the hospital for six weeks, undergoing treatments which included cranial radiation. Thankfully, Jennifer was able to beat leukemia, but unknown to doctors at the time, the radiation also affected other parts of her body as she grew older.

Due to the delayed effects of the cranial radiation, she has endured other illnesses; including Hepatitis C from blood transfusions (blood was not screened at the time), 3 kidney stones operations, and 2 large brain tumors that split into what appear to be 4 brain tumors. Jennifer recently underwent 2 brain surgeries in a 3 day period; one of those surgeries lasted 9 hours. She also needs another operation in a few weeks (hysterectomy); her uterus was also damaged from her childhood radiation.

In January, Jenn was laid off of work and then became ill. Though she is on disability, she is struggling to meet her bills and is facing eviction.

Our family knows that many people are struggling financially during these difficult times, but we would be very appreciative for any amount that can be spared.
