We’re grateful to share a hopeful update in Jennifer’s treatment plan. Her insurance has now approved Xeloda, a chemotherapy pill that offers a less aggressive alternative to IV chemo. While the side effects can still be difficult, this option allows her to begin treatment in a more manageable way and from home.

If future test results show that this medication is not effective enough, the next step would be a targeted therapy specifically designed for her rare KRAS G12C mutation. These drugs remain under insurance review, and the timeline is still uncertain.

In the meantime, Jennifer and her family continue to need support not only for medicine, but also for other medical and daily well-being needs. Your donations can help to cover counseling, hair and skin care designed for chemo patients, occasional housekeeping, nutritious meals, and restorative experiences like nature outings or mindfulness retreats. These forms of care play an essential role in helping Jennifer maintain her strength and hope.

Jennifer has spent much of her life giving to others through 7 years in the mission field, 15 years as an Oklahoma wildlife educator, and as a gestational surrogate for friends who longed for children. She’s a loving wife, mother to 4 sons, and “Grandmommie” to 2 grandsons, with a third on the way.
