My name is Jennifer Del Castillo and in 2018, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I took time off work for treatment and radiation but worked my way back and returned to work. After being cancer-free for almost 4 and a half years, I got diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Not only did my breast cancer return, but it spread to the lining of my stomach wall, my liver, my left lung (which caused it to fill up with fluid that had to be drained regularly), my left kidney, and my lymph nodes on both sides of my neck.
In Feb 2026, I ended up in the hospital due to a really bad headache that didn't go away for about a week. After I did all the tests, I was told it had progressed to my brain. I have 7 on my skull and 1 on the right side of my brain that is affecting my fine motor skills, my speech, and my balance.
For health reasons, I have decided to move for better health care and attend a cancer-specific center in Arizona. I don't like to ask for help, but it's really expensive, and because I'm on disability and a fixed income, my children have been helping me with my bills.
This is my story, and anything helps. Please and thank you.
