For the past 18 months, my daughter, Jennifer has been out of work due to the loss of vision in both eyes. She was diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy and thus began a long journey of surgeries, exams and recovery in hopes of regaining some vision.
While Jenny and the family adjusted to the life changes that arose from losing her job, inability to drive or care independently for herself or her family, Jenny was also diagnosed with Stage 2 Triple Negative Breast Cancer in April 2024. She has bravely faced everything that comes with fighting this battle cancer and we know she will continue to fight.
it has been 6 months of chemotherapy and immunotherapy so far. We are hopeful that by early January 2025 Jenny will be done with infusions and onto the next stage, which would be full removal, reconstruction and recovery.
While I see the tremendous will to live in my daughter, the strength she finds everyday to keep on pushing through, I know she needs help.
The holidays also add extra financial pressure and after a year and a half of this situation, any help is greatly and truly appreciated. Any meals, clothing or gift cards would also be a blessing to not only Jenny’s medical expenses but also a blessing to my grandson, Emmanuel.
Through this entire journey with his mom, this little boy has been the strongest, wisest, most caring child a mother could ask for. He motivates Jenny everyday to keep fighting, never asks for anything and has the kindness, noble heart.
thank you for the support, the love, the prayers.
