Hello, my name is Hector, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my sister, Jennifer Sabaiz, and her family after a devastating tragedy that has left them displaced, injured, and facing overwhelming financial hardship.
Although I live in Washington, I created this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Jennifer, so she can focus on healing and taking care of her family instead of managing a fundraiser during this difficult time. Every donation will be used to support Jennifer and her family by helping cover their living expenses, recovery, and rebuilding efforts.
On June 23, 2026, Jennifer was in her living room providing an eyelash service to a client as part of her summer esthetics business when an SUV driven by a suspected impaired driver crashed directly into her home. According to local news reports, the driver was also allegedly operating the vehicle with a suspended license. In a matter of seconds, her family's life was turned upside down.
Jennifer and her friend were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Her 7-year-old son was asleep in his bedroom when the crash occurred, and her 13-year-old stepdaughter, who was watching TV in the living room, escaped with only minor injuries. While everyone is incredibly grateful that their lives were spared, the emotional trauma and financial impact have been overwhelming.
Jennifer is a dedicated Instructional Assistant in Special Education with the Lynwood Unified School District. During the summer, when school is out, she works full-time as an esthetician and lash artist to help support her family and cover household expenses.
Because of the injuries she sustained in the crash, Jennifer is currently unable to perform her esthetician work—the very income her family depends on during the summer months. Losing those weeks of work has created a significant financial setback at the same time they have lost access to their home.
In addition to losing income while she recovers, Jennifer's in-home esthetics workspace—where she built her lash business—has been left inaccessible due to the extensive damage to the home. Her professional equipment, lash supplies, treatment bed, lighting, storage, and other essential tools were inside the home and have either been damaged or remain inaccessible. Replacing these items will be critical to helping her reopen her business and begin earning income again once she is medically able to return to work.
The crash caused extensive damage, leaving the house unsafe and uninhabitable. Jennifer and her family have been displaced and cannot return home or retrieve many of their personal belongings, including clothing and other everyday necessities.
We are asking for any support you can provide to help Jennifer and her family get through this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping them meet their immediate living expenses while they recover and work toward returning home.
Our goal is to raise $4,500 to help Jennifer and her family remain financially stable while they recover, secure temporary housing, replace essential belongings and work equipment, and begin rebuilding their lives.
Donations will help cover:
• Temporary housing, hotel stays, and other lodging while the home is uninhabitable
• Rent and housing-related expenses
• Food and groceries
• Clothing and other everyday essentials that remain inaccessible inside the home
• Car payment, utilities, and other monthly bills
• Medical expenses, prescriptions, and recovery costs not covered by insurance
• Lost income while Jennifer recovers and is unable to work as an esthetician
• Replacing Jennifer's in-home esthetics and eyelash workstation, equipment, tools, and supplies that were damaged or are inaccessible so she can safely return to serving her clients and rebuilding her business
• Other unexpected expenses related to their displacement and recovery
