Support Jennifer's Critical Care Journey

Anyone who knows my sister Jennifer, loves her. She’s hilarious, witty, and she LOVES her heavy metal! She’s always had a tough exterior, but she is without a doubt one of the most kind and compassionate people I’ve ever met. That tough exterior makes it hard to see when she herself is in need, as she never wants anyone to feel burdened by her or things she may need.

Right now, Jennifer is receiving critical care in the ICU due to multiple system issues. There isn’t one cause to her condition that doctors have been able to identify, so I deeply apologize to anyone that is seeing this for the first time. It has been a chaotic couple of weeks since she admitted herself, and we are all just trying to understand what it’s going to take to get her better. Right now, she is receiving supportive care for her kidneys, lungs, and heart.

She has sacrificed a lot of her life in the service of others and has never asked for help, even when she has needed it more than anyone. She has been forced to stop working due to these medical issues. She will require hospital-level post-discharge care when she is released, and her insurance will not fully cover the cost. This is the best chance at giving her the opportunity to heal properly and effectively, but it will no doubt be a costly endeavor.

She will likely not be discharged for several more weeks, but I wanted to take the opportunity to ask if anyone is able to donate any amount to help support her continued medical care. Jennifer and our family would greatly appreciate anything you can spare. All funds collected will be managed by me and will go directly to her supportive care post-discharge.

We understand times are tough and not everyone may have the funds to donate. In that case, we appreciate any prayers, positive energy, wishes, etc.

We ask at this time that she receive no visitors so that she can get the rest she needs to continue improving.
