My beautiful sister Jennifer Powell has been bravely fighting Stage 4 Head and Neck Cancer for two years. Throughout this journey, she has endured major surgery and intense rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. These treatments have saved her life, but they have also left lasting challenges, affecting her face, jaw, and dental health. Jennifer has faced radiation necrosis, which required additional surgery, and after her most recent procedure, doctors found that the cancer is still present. Despite these setbacks, Jennifer continues to fight with incredible strength and determination. Jennifer is someone who lights up any room, makes everyone feel important, and has given so much to so many. She is a loving mother, sister, aunt, friend, and the most wonderful “Lovie” to her grandchildren. Now it’s time for us to show up for her. She now needs specialized treatment to slow the cancer’s progress, give her more time, and hopefully eliminate this awful disease.

The specialized care Jennifer needs will require frequent travel back and forth to Dallas, expensive medications, and essential appointments. She will not be able to work during this time, and many of these costs are not covered by insurance. The financial burden has become overwhelming, and without help, her care could be interrupted at a crucial moment when every day truly matters.
