Support Jennifer's Battle Against Lung Cancer

Hello everyone, the last few months have been very scary to say the least for our family, mainly our mom, Jennifer. Our family is ready to help her share her story. For quite some time Jen was experiencing an extreme cough/sickness that was not going away. On Mother’s Day things took a turn and she was consistently coughing up blood. We took a visit to be checked out and she was being treated for pneumonia with strict orders to follow up with her primary for a potential CT scan to confirm that her X-ray was only pneumonia. We did just that and we were informed that our worst fear was now our reality. On July 17th mom was officially diagnosed with lung cancer. A 5cm tumor to be exact. The tumor is sitting in her lungs airway, blocking the bottom portion of her lung from receiving any air. Mom’s doctor estimated her to be at a stage 2. However, upon completing additional scans and tests, she is at a stage 4. She was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer that has partially spread to lymph nodes and a small lesion on her brain. Jen’s brain lesion has already undergone treatment and we are praying for good news for her next scan. Just recently Jen has begun her chemo treatment to tackle this cancer. My family and I are creating this to help support Jen and alleviate any money concerns during this time, as treatment will be consistent for the next few months with additional doctor follow ups and a lot of missed time at work. My family and I love and appreciate everything everyone has done for us so far and anything in advance as well.
