Jennifer Schmidt’s life changed in an instant on her birthday when she was struck from behind by a pickup truck while riding her bike. The driver failed to yield to a vulnerable road user, leaving Jennifer with multiple serious injuries: a broken pelvis, hip, ribs, vertebrae, arm, leg, and foot/ankle. She has already undergone several surgeries, with plates and screws helping to put her body back together. The road to recovery will be long and challenging, and Jennifer will be unable to work as she heals from this traumatic event.

Jennifer is known for her vibrant spirit and her love of movement—whether it’s running, biking, leading spin classes, or cheering on others as the lead bike for runners. She brings joy and energy to everyone around her, and now she needs our support more than ever.
