I never imagined having to write something like this, but here we are—asking for support for someone who has always been the one supporting everyone else.

My mom has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. She is one of the strongest, most resilient women I know—the kind of person who shows up for everyone, no matter what. She has always handled life’s challenges with grace and strength… but this is different. This is tougher.

As she begins this fight, her focus needs to be on healing, treatment, and staying strong. While she does have insurance, the reality is that it doesn’t cover everything. The medical expenses, treatments, and time away from work are creating a financial obstacle that no one should have to carry—especially while battling cancer.

Because of her treatment, she won’t be able to work much, if at all, for a period of time. And anyone who knows her knows how hard that is for her—she’s always been independent and hardworking. The last thing she should have to worry about right now is how to keep up with bills or unexpected costs.

We are starting this fundraiser to help ease that burden so she can focus entirely on what matters most: fighting this disease and getting through it.
