Today, we want to share a story of strength, love, and resilience. It's about an incredible woman, our mother, Jennifer, a friend, and a constant beacon of kindness. For those who have had the privilege of knowing Jennifer, you understand just how remarkable she is. Her caring nature, unwavering compassion, and yes, even her stubbornness, have touched the lives of many. To those who have yet to meet her, we can only hope that fate will one day bring you together.
In February 2023, mom received devastating news - a stage 4 colorectal cancer diagnosis. However, amidst the darkness that followed this diagnosis emerged a glimmer of hope. Through extensive research and countless consultations, we discovered an exceptional team of doctors at USF Tampa General Hospital who would become her guiding light on this trying journey. Together with her medical team and family, Jennifer embarked on a treatment plan consisting of radiation and chemotherapy.
The past nine months have been filled with both triumphs and challenges as she battles this formidable disease head-on. Throughout it all though, our mother has displayed immense courage and resilience. Her spirit remains unbreakable as she fights each day with unwavering determination.
Now, as she moves forward in this battle against cancer, she is facing two extensive surgical procedures that will each require weeks of recovery. This next step is crucial in ensuring that she can regain her health and continue living a fulfilling life alongside her loving husband, Jay, her children, and her grandchildren. We want to thank everyone for rallying around our mom during these trying times. Your love, encouragement, prayers, and any contributions you can make will provide her with the strength to continue fighting this battle.
