I am Michele Dorner. Jennifer is my friend and employee at Dorner Family Vineyard.

On Sunday, 12/21/25, Jennifer and her daughter Madison were driving to Utah to spend Christmas with Jennifer’s son, Hunter, his wife, and her three grandchildren. While driving through Las Vegas, they were involved in a devastating accident. Their vehicle was struck head-on by a drunk driver, then hit by another vehicle, and finally by a semi-truck.

Jennifer and Madison spent a week hospitalized in Las Vegas, suffering from numerous broken bones and other serious injuries. They have since returned home to Tehachapi, with Jennifer confined to a wheelchair and Madison using a walker.

Due to the severity of her injuries and ongoing pain, Jennifer is currently unable to return to either of her jobs. She is expected to remain in a wheelchair for up to two months during her recovery. Madison is also unable to return to school at this time as she continues to heal.

All funds raised will go toward the medical bills from their hospitalization in Las Vegas, which are expected to be substantial even with insurance. Donations will also help cover the cost of their ongoing medical care.

Any contribution, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated and will help ease the financial burden of Jennifer and Madison’s medical expenses.
