I am sure many of our friends will recall the tragic fire a few months ago that destroyed the home and all belongings of Jennifer and Brandon, my daughter and son-in-law, along with his parents' property and household goods. The fire was tragic and clearly a nightmare, and many friends and family responded so generously to provide immediate help for them, which was most appreciated by all.
Sadly, that was just the beginning. When Jennifer was escaping from the fire, she fell down the stairs and injured her back. At the time, it was painful but getting better seemed possible. Today, she is bedridden, waiting for treatment from specialists, and can barely walk as tough and determined as she is. Compounding this nightmare, a few days ago, Brandon suffered a stroke which seems unusual for a healthy man in his forties, but nonetheless, it happened. He is experiencing cognitive issues, memory issues, and his left side is practically non-functioning.
Since the fire, they have been living in an Airbnb that the insurance company provided, and their time with that is coming to a close at the end of the month. Neither of them are able to work now, and life keeps throwing them spitballs.
Their need is significant for food, shelter, and just living. If you have a mind to help, please do so here on this GoFundMe. We have hopes that Brandon's impairments will in time get less serious, but the doctors really can't predict when and how much. They really need time to figure out what their next step is, and it is my hope that we can raise some funds to help them get through this.
Small or large, all will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your kind and generous support.
Al and Diane Hague
