Hi, I’m Jenna, and a couple of years ago, my health journey took a sudden turn. I’ve struggled with chronic pain and severe fatigue, with little to no answers for years. Unfortunately, that pain is now debilitating, my joints have become unstable, and I need to carefully monitor my energy and pacing every day. In June of this year (2025) I was diagnosed officially with Fibromyalgia and early-onset Osteoarthritis of the spine, hands, left foot, with more joints suspected. But we’re not done yet. Ive been unable to work for a whole year now, I’ve seen countless doctors and specialists, tried many prescriptions and therapies. I’m using a cane more often, and even a wheelchair on bad days. I’m currently in aqua therapy, which is helpful but slow moving. We are still seeking an *Official* diagnosis of Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS, though unofficial confirmation has been made) and there appear to be signs of an underlying, still undiagnosed autoimmune disease. Finally, I think, we are close to finding all the answers, but those answers haven’t come cheap.
I’ve been lucky enough to have the support of my amazing family. My parents, in particular, have taken me (back ) in and provided for me during this process of diagnosis, treatment, and applying for financial assistance of every kind. However, as they are getting older and have their own health problems, it has really started to take a toll as of late.
So I am hoping today that if you are able and willing, to help us out in our time of need. Any little (or large ) donation could make a huge difference for us! I will try to detail some of the assistance we’re asking for below. Thank you!
*What your donation goes towards:
- Doctor and Specialist visits for diagnosis and care that are not fully covered by sliding scale and McLeod hospital charity
- Medically necessary testing/imaging/labs
- Genetic Testing
- Mobility Assistant Devices including Mobility Scooter/Electric Wheelchair, canes, braces, sleeves
- Medications
- Emergency Care
And if you can’t afford to help, that’s okay!!! Trust me, I get it. But if it’s not too much, please SHARE this for me Love y’all
