Hi, my name is Jenna.
March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, which brings awareness of a chronic and often debilitating condition in women during their reproductive years. And this hits home big time for me. After years of various health problems, I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis in 2023 at the age of 29. I had surgery in early 2024 and things were good for a while. But the severe symptoms returned last fall. After many tests, scans and appointments, the decision was made that I need a full hysterectomy as well as remove the remaining new growth of the endometriosis again. I’m 30 years old now and this is something that I never saw coming or expected to go through and it’s very emotional for Schuyler and I. Due to the pain, I haven’t been able to work and medical bills, well all the bills, are pilling up. I will have a 6 week recovery and my hope is that I will be finally pain free and can get my life back. As much as I didn’t want to reach out for help, I feel like this is the best choice for me now. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
