Hello, my name is Chelsea and I’m making this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister Jenna, her husband Matt, and my nephew Oliver.

My nephew Oliver is 12 years old and was born with a rare genetic condition called MeCP2 Duplication Syndrome. The condition is progressive, severe, and cruel. Over the last three weeks, Oliver unexpectedly declined rapidly in hospice. They are doing everything possible to make him comfortable at home.

Currently, my sister is unable to work during this tragic time and her husband Matt is his full-time caregiver. The money raised would help with expenses in the coming weeks, medical expenses, and eventually a cremation.

I know that in this economy it’s difficult for everyone, but anything would be helpful. Even just sharing it. Thank you so much.

Update:

On October 9th, just 22 days before his 13th birthday, Oliver passed away peacefully in the embrace of his parents. My sister and her husband are understandably devastated by the loss of their only child. I hope to raise money to help my sister with final expenses and family support.
