Hello all! I am reaching out to ask for support for two of the most incredible people I know, Jenna and Ben. Recently, Ben was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. As you can imagine, this news has completely turned their world upside down.
Ben is beginning an intense treatment journey that will require a minimum of 6 months to start, and that is without knowing what complications or additional challenges may arise along the way.
Ben works tirelessly as a chef in the restaurant industry to provide for his family, but due to treatments and the physical toll they may take, there is a strong possibility he may need to stop working during this time.
Jenna is doing everything she can to hold things together for their family. She is a small business owner with many talents and jobs—from professional photography, party hosting, and custom party favors, to working part-time in an office to help provide income for their family.
On top of all of that, she is deeply involved in the community as the president of the PTO, a softball coach for her daughter’s team, and a constant volunteer at school and community events. Jenna is also very involved in her church, where she volunteers in the children’s nursery. Her faith is a huge part of who she is, and it is helping give her the strength to keep pushing forward and supporting her family through this incredibly difficult season.
Above all else, Jenna and Ben are devoted parents to their four beautiful children, who mean absolutely everything to them.
The funds raised will help ease some of the overwhelming financial burden this diagnosis brings, including household bills, groceries, gas for treatments in New Haven, medical bills and medications, and necessary accommodations at home during treatment and recovery.
Anyone who knows Jenna and Ben knows they are always the first to show up for others. They give endlessly to their friends, family, schools, church, and community, and now we are asking for that same love and support to be poured back into them during this incredibly difficult time.
We are holding onto faith, hope, and the belief that this will one day be just a small chapter in their story. Until then, we are asking our community to come together and help carry them through the unknown.
If you are unable to donate, prayers, positive thoughts, and sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to this family. Thank you for helping me support my best friends during the fight of their lives.
