Support Jenn & Justin Through Their Stage 3 Cancer Journey

I’m reaching out to ask for help for my best friend Jenn Goetzinger and her husband Justin Del Monte, who have been enduring an incredibly difficult journey over the past two years.

Jenn is one of the kindest, most generous people you’ll ever meet. If you’ve had the privilege of knowing her, you’ve likely experienced her warmth, big heart, and willingness to always help others.

From mid 2020 through 2022, Jenn went to multiple doctors and specialists, as a result of a multitude of symptoms, including severe stomach pain. Despite her persistent symptoms, the doctors couldn’t pinpoint the issue and repeatedly sent her home, diagnosing her with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia—until one day, they finally found something.

Jenn and Justin got eloped on September 8, 2022. They couldn’t wait to begin this new chapter of their lives and start a family.

However, one month later, in October of 2022, at just 33 years old, Jenn was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. A time that should have been the happiest of their lives quickly turned into a battle for survival.

Jenn immediately underwent a hysterectomy, oophorectomy (the removal of both ovaries and reproductive organs), and appendectomy. When she awoke from her surgery, Justin had to give her the heartbreaking news that she would never be able to have kids, one of their life long dreams.

After a 2 month recovery from surgery, she endured six months of grueling chemotherapy, losing all of her hair. After those six months, Jenn received incredible news—her cancer tests came back clear! But the relief was short-lived.

Just a few months later, her cancer returned, and she now faces three tumors.

After consulting doctors from around the country, Jenn was admitted into a clinical trial. Unfortunately, this trial treatment has taken a heavy toll, both mentally and physically.

Throughout all of this, Justin has been Jenn’s rock. As a police officer in New Jersey, he has spent every dollar he’s earned and every free moment supporting Jenn through her treatment. He has taken every possible leave and vacation to be by her side for each appointment, ensuring she never has to face this alone. Now, however, they are at a heartbreaking crossroads that no couple should ever have to endure.

Despite everything, Jenn and Justin continue to fight with everything they have, but they can’t do it alone any longer. With overwhelming medical bills, mounting debt, and the very real possibility of losing their home, they are in desperate need of help.

This GoFundMe is set up to help Jenn and Justin cover medical expenses, household bills, and, most importantly, to keep a roof over their heads while they continue their fight. Any contribution, no matter how small, would make a world of difference and allow them to focus on what truly matters—getting through this together.
