On Monday night, our dear friend Matt passed away peacefully in his sleep. Matt had the biggest heart. We had the absolute pleasure of working with him for 5 years. He was a true healer, always learning and always caring. He was always there not only for his clients but for all of us. Matt held the special role of our token male therapist in a sea of ladies for years. He was the big brother we all needed, teaching us all the ways of music, books, movies, paddle-boards, and mountain bikes. It didn’t matter what kind of weird BB party it was - tutus or ‘80s costumes, Matt was always there and dressed to impress. In a workspace built around serene quiet, Matt’s booming laughter was a sound that was always welcomed. He will be deeply missed.

Matt leaves behind his loving wife, Jenn, who is now navigating the unimaginable grief of losing her partner while also facing the financial burden that comes with such a sudden loss.

We are creating this GoFundMe to support Jenn with expenses during this difficult time. Our hope is to ease some of the financial stress so that she can focus on healing, remembering Matt, and honoring his beautiful life.

If you’ve ever had the privilege of knowing Matt, whether through Blue Buddha, as a client, a friend, or family, you know how much of himself he gave to others. Now it’s our turn to give back to him and to Jenn.
