My name is Jenn, and I’m reaching out during a really difficult chapter in my life. Recently, I was diagnosed with cancer, and as a result, I’m unable to work right now. The treatment plan for the first few months is pretty aggressive, and I only have a couple of decent days each week as I adjust to the medication and the new reality I’m facing.

Because I don’t qualify for unemployment or Paid Family Medical Leave, I’m struggling to keep up with the basics—things like my cell phone bill, storage unit, gas and insurance, and making sure there’s food for both myself and my two cats. These are the essentials that help me stay connected, keep my belongings safe, and take care of myself and my pets while I focus on healing.
