Support Jenn and Jay in Their Time of Need

My name is Lissa Proulx and Jenn is my beautiful daughter, Jay is my son in law. Jenn and Jay have been married for 34 years and best friends just a little longer! They have one son, Jay Jr who is 33. I have created this GOFUNDME for them as they are in dire need of help. The past few years have been very hard on them.

In November of 2022, the day after Thanksgiving, Jenn and Jay lost their home to a horrifying house fire. They lost just about everything they owned. They also lost their beloved pup Zora in the fire.

After rebuilding their home of 21 years and moving back in late summer of 2023 Jenn then became very ill in late November of 2023. She was sadly diagnosed with a terminal illness. She is now on 24 hour home hospice care. Jenn has the most wonderful outlook and sense of humor ever! She never stops smiling and I swear she is the strongest woman ever!

On June 24th of this year Jay was hurt when his Bloodhound Gus pulled him down the stairs and pulled his shoulder out of its socket. He was unable to work and had to have extensive surgery on August 12th on his shoulder. His disability compensation ran out 3 weeks ago. They were barely getting by on that. Now they have no income at all. Jay has not returned to work yet as he was only released for light duty and his employer has no light duty work for him. Jay will remain on light duty for 5 months. Bills have piled up and they are far behind on their house payment. They have applied for medicare for Jenn but it takes a while. They have also applied for other assistance. In the meantime the have no money for food, prescriptions or bills. Prescriptions are huge! They have no money coming in at all.

Jenn and Jay are very proud people. They hate for me to be doing this. I know right now there is no other way for them. If you can donate anything we appreciate it very much! Any little bit helps. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
