Support Jenene’s Brain Surgery & Recovery

Jenene and I have shared over 20 years of friendship, watching our children grow up together and supporting each other through life’s ups and downs. Her journey with cancer began when she was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, which led to the removal of a kidney. The cancer later metastasized to her lungs and lymph nodes, requiring her to undergo immunotherapy and radiation treatments. For years, Jenene has managed her illness with oral chemotherapy, enduring severe side effects like nausea and physical exhaustion. Despite these challenges, she has always maintained a positive attitude and determination to keep going for her husband and kids.

Recently, Jenene’s battle has become even more difficult. She now faces a brain tumor that has caused seizures, drop foot, muscle twitches, and constant headaches, leaving her in significant pain and discomfort. Her upcoming brain surgery in Dallas, Texas, is critical to preserving her mobility and quality of life. The recovery will be long—at least 12 weeks—and may involve additional treatments like radiation wafers, depending on what doctors find. The costs are overwhelming: hospital bills, travel between Oklahoma and Dallas, physical therapy, and lost income as her husband will be caring for her, and their insurance deductible is high, leaving them with thousands in out-of-pocket expenses every year.
