Support Jenabah's Healing Journey with Breast Cancer
Donation protected
As some of you may know, our dear siStAr Jenabah, has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is scheduled for a double mastectomy on July 29th. This is a major surgery that will require several months of recovery time, and this came as a complete shock. As you can imagine, nobody is ever quite prepared for news like this.
She is a self employed massage therapist and dancer among many other talents. Some of you may know her as a community cultivator in Chelsea for her annual Halloween flashmob. She is also well known for bringing people together and sharing her passion for drum and dance through her former business in Chelsea; The Tree of Life Cultural Arts Studio.
Others may have met her while ‘truckin’ the Grateful Dead scene at local hangouts such as The Rumpus Room and The Northville Winery. You may have even seen her dancing ‘around and around’ at a show. Or, ‘playing in the band’ while performing at Michigan music festivals.
In any case, Jenabah shines her light wherever she goes. She has been my friend for over 20 years! And, sharing her gifts with our community for even longer.
Being self employed means that there aren’t any paid days off. There is no PTO or sick time. Unfortunately, as a self employed person, if you’re not able to work the income stops.
But, the bills keep on coming…
Let’s help this amazing sister in her time of urgent need to cover the expenses that will still exist even when the income has to stop.
Due to the intense physical nature of Jenabah's livelihood, we're hoping for a full recovery with return to work within 4-6 months.
Any amount is greatly appreciated and will be very helpful. Sharing is caring, so please also share this information to help us meet our goal. And, to shine some light on Jenabah during this ‘touch of grey.’
There are many ways to offer care and support. Here is the link to provide a meal if you’re able.
Sincerely, Sandy
