Jen, my longtime friend, is facing a difficult chapter after a recent accident. She slipped on ice and badly broke her wrist, and is scheduled for surgery in a couple of days. While her medical expenses should be covered, Jen is a self-employed painter, and her injury means she will miss 3-6 months of work.
