Almost a year ago, as I was leaving work, I was involved in a car accident that totaled my vehicle. The accident forced me to miss about six weeks of work, and financially it has been very difficult trying to catch back up ever since.

My job is very important to me. I take pride in showing up, working hard, and being someone people can rely on. Over the past year I’ve been doing everything I can to rebuild after the accident and keep moving forward.

Right now my biggest challenge is transportation. Because my car was totaled, I currently do not have a vehicle. Getting to and from work has become extremely difficult. Uber costs around $50 each way, and I have been incredibly grateful to coworkers who have gone out of their way to drive me to and from work. Their kindness has meant more to me than I can express, but I know I can’t rely on them forever.

Having a reliable vehicle would make a huge difference in my life. It would allow me to get to work consistently and continue rebuilding after what has been a very difficult year.

Asking for help isn’t easy for me, but I’ve reached a point where I could really use some support to get back on my feet.

My goal is to raise $4,500 to help cover the cost of a reliable used vehicle, registration, and basic maintenance so I can get back to work without the constant stress of figuring out transportation.
