Hello, I'm Janeen. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I've set up this Go Fund Me for Jen, who's in dire need of our support. Jen has selflessly devoted her life to changing people's lives like mine in extraordinary ways. She's been called to take on the care of a lovely soul named Nova, but the costs of doing so have become absolutely overwhelming. Jen is a person who has a rich background helping others to transform their lives, so it's a big step for Jen to accept our help.

A Second Chance for Sweet Nova

They say the ones who need saving often end up saving us. That's exactly what Nova did for Jen.

Nova came into Jen’s life unexpectedly, but it feels like fate brought them together after hearing their story. Nova has brought Jen love, joy and comfort in ways she couldn't have imagined. Jen hasn't been the only one that has been affected by this special little soul. She's made people cry (in a good way) because her energy is so peaceful while touching her. She's been asked if she's a therapy dog. She was told she'd be an incredible Hospice dog. Jen intends to allow Nova to continue her work after she's well and let Nova tell her where she'd like to direct it. She has this energy that is extraordinarily healing. You can see in the photos how she engages Jen. In a short time they've formed an unbreakable, beautiful bond between them.

Sadly, two weeks after rescuing her, Nova was diagnosed with an advanced heartworm condition that's life-threatening and requires painful, expensive treatments. Watching her endure this has been gutwretchingly heartbreaking. Soul crushing not just for Jen, but for everyone Nova has touched and positively affected.

Nova’s medical bills are in the

thousands, and Jen has done everything she can to combat this alone, but now she needs our help.

l've learned that sometimes we can only be stoic for so long. It takes a village and a community to heal those who need it. We are talking about a member of our community who has already given (and still gives) so much of herself. Jen is a teacher, but through Nova has felt very much like a studen in remembering to ask for help when you need it. It's our turn to show up for Jen now when she needs it the most.
