I never imagined I’d be writing and sharing something like this; it’s surreal!

In March, my beautiful sister Jemaine received news no one could have anticipated. She was diagnosed with an aggressive type of Stage 2 breast cancer, and our world was turned upside down. Since then, life has become a whirlwind of hospital visits, endless medications, ongoing chemo treatments, and the physical and emotional toll that comes with this battle. It’s something no one can prepare for.

Jemaine is more than just my sister; she’s an amazing mom, auntie, new grandma, and friend, loved by so many. Watching her strength through this, even on days when she’s exhausted, in pain, and terrified, is both heartbreaking and inspiring. True to her spirit, she continues to show incredible strength, determination, and resilience every single day. Cancer picked the wrong woman!

If you know my sister, you know she’s always been extremely independent and hardworking. However, the road ahead will be long, physically demanding, emotionally exhausting, and financially overwhelming.

While her family and friends have been a tremendous support, the immense financial pressure of being unable to work while trying to manage medical-related costs and basic living expenses, all while fighting breast cancer, has become overwhelming.

My sister is a very prideful and private person who never asks for help. Yet, right now, she needs support to ease some of the financial burden so she can focus her energy where it belongs—on treatment, healing, and recovery.
