Support Jelsa's Journey to Health and Recovery

My name is Jelsa, I'll be the big 50 in March 2025. I have a 19-year-old daughter and I'm a single mom. I feel an important need to be around for many years to experience my daughter's milestones throughout her life. My daughter & I love to go to concerts together. That's our thing! I am basically all she has. I am an ASL sign language interpreter for over 28 years and have worked in various special education classes in my beginning years. I absolutely love dogs, well, all animals really. I'm a nature lover too. Anything outdoors, boating, camping, mellow hiking, beaches, lakes, I love it all.

I have polycystic kidneys with 17% function of both kidneys and steadily dropping. This was passed on to me genetically from my father's side. I'm searching for a living donor to become my forever angel as well as help with medical bills that my insurance doesn't cover. I'd also love to help my caregiver who will be with me for 6 weeks while I will be out of work and healing, as well as my donor angel who will miss 2-3 weeks of work while healing.

To be honest, it feels quite awkward to ask folks for an actual kidney, much less financial help as well. This has been a lifelong journey and I need to accept that this is truly my life and future. Thank you to you all for being a part of my journey
