Jeff was flown to Ruby Memorial on 4/19 with what was believed to be pneumonia from a simple cold. Since then, his condition continued to decline requiring mechanical ventilation and ECMO to assist his organs in their functioning. It was also discovered that he has CLL, a type of leukemia. He is stable and alert at this time, but has a long road to recovery that may require extensive follow-up after his hospitalization.
