Support Jeff's Recovery from Lung Cancer

Hello, my name is Jeff and I recently was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma (lung cancer) stage two. This diagnosis was very intimidating to me because ive lost three sisters to cancer.I was informed by my doctor I needed to have part of my lung removed to take out the cancerous part of my lung. Surgery was scheduled and surgery was performed. I was told about two months to recover. Due to complications, that has been extended. I have been in and out of the hospital for fluid build-up in my chest area after surgery. At some point, due to the constant fluid build-up, my chest area got infected, extending my recovery. I was informed that due to all the fluid build-up, my lung won't expand completely and will possibly need another surgery to clear and clean my lung that had the upper lobe removed so it can reinflate completely. I have insurance to cover the procedures I need or have been through. My problem is I'm 63 years old and on a limited income and did handyman repairs to supplement my income to cover my regular monthly expenses. Since I had the first surgery on January 3rd of 2025, I cannot work and won't be able to for a minimum of two to three months depending on how I heal. What I need help with is my living expenses, the cost of traveling to all the doctor appointments, the extra costs of the added prescriptions needed, food costs for the diet changes needed for my recovery, and my monthly bills due to not being able to work at all. I've always been self-sufficient and asking for help is very hard for me to do, but if I don't figure out something, I could possibly lose my home and my credit standing I worked so hard to protect.
