On Tuesday evening, my father-in-law Jeff drove himself to the ER after experiencing severe chest pain while out walking his dog. The doctors quickly ran tests and discovered that his cardiac enzyme levels were much higher than normal, indicating something serious was happening with his heart. After further testing, they found several blockages in his coronary arteries and determined that he needed open heart quadruple bypass surgery in order to reroute the blood flow around the four blocked arteries. Thankfully, the surgery went perfectly, but Jeff now faces a long road to recovery.
Jeff is currently at Kettering Main Hospital, where he will be staying for several days as he recovers. Unfortunately, he does not have health insurance, which means the costs for his hospital stay, tests, and procedures are adding up quickly. The financial burden is overwhelming, and we want to make sure Jeff can focus on healing without the added stress of mounting medical bills.
Jeff is an extraordinary human who is always willing to help others in need, so we would love to do the same for him now. Any support you can offer—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser—would mean the world to our family. Thank you for keeping Jeff in your thoughts and for helping us support him through this challenging time.
