A Place of Surrender

My life has been blessed with much abundance and good fortune, yet I feel called to ask my community for help with a lingering health challenge.

Healing and Recovery

Following a diagnosis of renal (kidney) cancer in 2005, I had the first of many life-saving surgeries over the next 15 years. While the cancer has remained in full remission since 2005, severe abdominal pain and other surgical complications kept me from working on a regular basis. Nonetheless, I remained hopeful, trusted in God, and did the best I could.

An Awakening

During the pandemic, after reengaged in 12 Step recovery and finding The Work of Byron Katie, I quite miraculously achieved freedom and sustained relief from the physical pain, anxiety, and depression which had consumed me for so many years. I engaged in life again, became active in service to others, and gained a renewed hopefulness for a healthy future.

Dental Challenges

I had excellent medical insurance and care during my years of cancer treatments, but I went without adequate dental coverage and experienced the loss of many teeth. Then, in 2024, I found a wonderful and skilled dentist who agreed to take my insurance. Over the past 6 months, we have made tremendous progress, yet the most important remaining dental work is not covered by insurance.

Your Support - An Investment in Healing

I am seeking $7,500 in donations for the most necessary and urgent portion of my dental recovery plan. (My total out-of-pocket costs will be $15,000.)

Finalizing my dental work will include replacing three front teeth and allow me to enjoy a variety of healthy foods again with the assistance of a few new molars.

A Future Vision

I cannot begin to tell you how very grateful I would be for ANY support (no matter how small!) to help me achieve this goal. Upon completion of this journey, I have a vision to advocate for, and help others faced with similar needs, to the best of my abilities.
