Support Jeff's Fun-Run-Raiser for Guatemalan Students
Tax deductible
Hi, I’m Jeff Spencer, and I’m chasing a dream: running the Western States 100, the world’s original 100-mile trail race, on June 28-29, 2025. This grueling race through California’s Sierra Nevada is my ultimate challenge—a test of endurance, grit, and heart.
But I’m not just running for me. I’m running to “Fun”draise for incredible students in Guatemala who are chasing their own dreams!
At the Forging My Tomorrow school in Guatemala, young students from rural villages are breaking the cycle of poverty through education. They learn English and technology skills, paving the way for life-changing opportunities. In 2014, I met some of these inspiring students (see my photos below!).
Today, those kids are graduates—fluent in English, working for global companies like Coca-Cola, Salesforce, and Microsoft partners, and mentoring the next generation to follow in their footsteps.
Running 100 miles is tough, but it’s nothing compared to the challenges these students face. That’s why I’m asking you to sponsor my WSER run to fund scholarships for Forging My Tomorrow students.
You will get a tax receipt from PayPal Giving, and the donations will be processed by the Foundation for the Higher Good, a 501(c)(3) based in Columbia, Missouri.
Your donations will go directly to their tuition, books, and tech training, helping them build brighter futures.
My Goal: Raise $2,500 to support 10 students’ scholarships by race day, June 28, 2025.
Will you pledge $1 per mile I run ($100), $0.50 per mile ($50), or any amount to cheer me on and change lives?
