Support Jeff’s Battle Against Health Conditions

My name is Taylor Bailey, and this is my dad, Jeff. If you don’t know him, he’s one of the most selfless and caring people I know. And not just because I’m his daughter. He has committed his life to serving the bowling industry, whether it’s coaching or as a proprietor. He’s won high school state championships, has managed Joliet Town and Country Lanes for 20+ years, coaches Joliet Junior College, and was inducted into the Joliet Area Bowling Hall of Fame in October 2023. Recently, he developed a severe case of chronic pancreatitis with an unknown cause. He has accrued a lot of time in the hospital, and the timeline is still ongoing. He was transferred to Rush University Medical Center, and we are hoping to receive better, specialized care and surgery. On 1/16/25, he will be having an endoscopic pancreatic necrosectomy to remove any infected tissue that can become worse, as well as assist with drainage. He went home on 1/18/25 and will be having another necrosectomy on 1/28/25. He’s getting better each and every day, but it is a slow going process. As of today, April 10, 2025, he has completed his EGD necrosectomy procedures. He still has quite a way to go of building his health back up from being in the hospital as much as he has, but he is headed in the right direction. He was admitted to the hospital on April 16, and is currently still there on top of potentially going to an inpatient rehab facility for extensive therapy. He has had quite a few complications this go around such as spinal stenosis and surgery, weakness, high ammonia levels, and unresponsiveness. On May 4, the doctors found an abscess in his stomach and my dad will be transferred to Rush University Hospital for potential emergent surgery.

It has been just him and me since my mom passed away in 2019, and long story short, this time has just been stressful.

Asking for help, especially financially, is not something him or I do easily. Even as I type this out and create it, my whole body is in fight or flight of just being vulnerable.

Please do not feel obligated, but any little bit can help. We don’t know what the costs can even amount to at this point, but as of now he has had multiple hospital stays on top of ambulance rides, tests, procedures, etc.

I also know he will be very mad at me for this, because if you know him, you just know his humility.

Thank you if you even stop to read.
