Our dearly beloved Jeff passed away on October 2, and we are devastated beyond words. We are raising funds for our friend Jeff's family as they face the aftermath of this heartbreaking loss.
In late March, Jeff began taking a vitamin B12 complex supplement choosing from a list of brands that his doctor recommended to him. Within weeks, he started suffering one unexplained injury after another. What began with muscle pulls became a torn ligament, a torn tendon, injuries to both knees and both feet, and even his thumb. He also developed peripheral neuropathy and lived with severe pain. They sought out doctor after doctor and searched for answers, but no one could explain why this was happening to someone who had been in good shape before all of this.
On September 26, a blood test finally revealed that Jeff's vitamin B6 level was very high and linked to the supplement he had been taking. He stopped taking it immediately after being told that was the right step, but his suffering had already become deeper than those around him could fully see. Alongside the physical pain, Jeff had also been suffering from the mental changes directly caused by the toxicity of the vitamin B6 in his brain. He ended his life. We are crushed. His death has left his loved ones heartbroken.
Jeff was a pillar of his church community and, above all, a loving husband and father. The loss of his presence in his family and community is immeasurable.
Donations will help cover funeral expenses, grief counseling, and legal expenses for Jeff's family. If you are able, please give or share this fundraiser to help support the people who loved Jeff most as they walk through this painful time. Please also keep Jeff's family in your prayers.
Jeff's celebration of life service will be held at Sunnyvale Adventist Church, located at 653 W. Fremont Ave, Sunnyvale, at 3:30 pm on Saturday, October 24. If you're in the area, we hope you can join us remembering the incredible life that Jeff lived. Please wear colors.
Please hug your loved ones and please check your supplements now.
