Hello World, I'm Jeff, a very blessed and proud family guy with my incredible wife Chasity, five awesome children with wonderful spouses, and, as of a few days ago, eight beautiful grandkids. We've always been a hardworking Midwestern family chasing the American Dream. In a devastating moment, it all came crumbling down when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 tongue cancer the day after my birthday last October. I had surgery to remove and rebuild 75% of my tongue in December and was on the path to recovery, feeling better every day. Until now. I have just been diagnosed with a relapse, which will require far more intense radiation and chemotherapy starting immediately.

I was initially quite devastated, but have focused on regaining a positive perspective since it has not spread to other parts of my body. I have over a 75% chance of 5-year remission with my aggressive treatment protocol: seven weeks of intense treatment and 4-6 weeks of recovery.

I am intensely determined and committed to fighting through this brutal treatment and beating back this evil disease, no matter what I have to endure.

Please know that I am incredibly blessed with an unbelievably devoted wife, amazing family, and rock-solid support network. I truly know how vital it is to ultimately get on the other side of this nightmare, regardless of the slow torture I'm about to endure. I am intently focused on taking full advantage of my second chance at a full life.

Throughout this fight, we were fortunate to have hard-earned savings to take the place of my income, as I have been on medical leave since I was initially diagnosed last year. With my relapse and more intense treatment, I will now have to be out of work for an entire year in total. In addition to the overwhelming flood of medical bills, we now have to drive two hours round-trip to Madison every day for treatments. This will be followed by months of therapy to learn how to swallow and speak as effectively as possible.

My goals are simple: I just want to watch my grandbabies grow up and fulfill my promise to my beautiful bride that we will grow old together.
